The idea behind this initiative is largely to raise awareness on the versatility of Traditional and Indigenous Knowledge Systems (TIKS) that are available around the world to mitigate, prepare, adapt, respond and recover from disasters. Considering how these knowledge systems are sensitive towards the local context, it is crucial that we apply them meaningfully in current disaster risk management strategies. If you are aware of such TIKS or have undertaken research on them or applied them in practice, we urge you to submit case studies that you want featured on this repository.
(Note: All submissions will go through a review process before being uploaded. You will be notified once your submitted case study is uploaded.)
